Rita Erickson CTC, MCC co-owner of Preferred Travel since 1980, has a life long association with the travel industry.

Her first job at 17 was at Midway Airport working in the Station Manager's office for TWA. From there she went on to work for United Airlines for the next five years in Flight Operations and Passenger Service at both Midway and Ohare airports.

As co-owner and travel consultant she established Preferred Travel In Schaumburg Illinois and ran it as a store front for 23 years. When things within the industry began to change, the agency evolved into a home based business which processes sales for its many affiliates.

Rita has achieved the CTC (Certified Travel Consultant) designation and is a lifetime member of The Travel Institute. She has also earned the MCC (Master Cruise Consultant) title from CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association).

She is a member of the Shamrock Club, which is an Irish Specialist organization, and plans many itineraries for that perfect trip to Ireland.
